Barba Stathis at the 7th KIDOT Festival in Thessaloniki
Barba Stathis proudly participated in the 7th KIDOT Festival, held on October 4–5 at the Thessaloniki International Fair grounds. The festival brought families together for a weekend filled with joy, creativity, and endless entertainment.
Through fun activities, both children and adults had the chance to explore the colorful world of vegetables. Face painting, crafts, and educational games focused on the nutritional value of vegetables kept kids happily engaged while highlighting the importance of a balanced diet.
Our participation in the KIDOT Festival is part of our ongoing commitment to raising nutritional awareness among the younger generation. This year’s presence was closely connected to our Elementary School Educational Program “Take a Step Towards Healthy Eating”, which has been running for the past four years at our facilities in Sindos. With interactive activities, hands-on workshops, and age-appropriate educational material, the program has inspired thousands of students to embrace vegetables and balanced nutrition in their daily lives. Its success is reflected not only in the growing number of participants but also in the enthusiastic response from children, teachers, and parents alike.
Continuing to invest in initiatives with long-term social impact, Barba Stathis also used the opportunity of the KIDOT Festival to introduce its newest program, “Little Farmers.” This initiative is designed to bring children closer to nature through the creation of school vegetable gardens. Students will have the opportunity to plant, care for, and watch their own vegetables grow, an experience that fosters responsibility, teamwork, patience, and respect for the environment. These are values that will accompany them throughout their lives.
